Kimberly Rideout of Dreamscenes

This summer we renovated the top floor of our home. It was turned into an amazing, forest-themed playroom for our son by the amazing contractors at Super Seven. The mural work on the walls completely transformed the space, and I wanted to share some of the artwork by Kimberly Rideout from Dreamscenes. She's an outstanding artist and a beautiful person, and she created all these stunning scenes herself, in under a week. If you want to transform part of your home into something really special, she's your artist. Rosie :)

The Big Guy's Little Coffee Shop

A few of my very favourite things can all be found in this lovely Lakeshore coffee house. Delicious coffee, local works of art and really nice people.

You know a place is special when it's filled with super-friendly regulars. This gang said they were thinking of putting up a camera and starting a Big Guy's reality show.

I just love these paintings. They are so striking.

The Big Guy's Little Coffee Shop even has a little patio out front for sipping your delicious organic coffee or espresso. It's in between Sixth and Seventh Streets in south Etobicoke. We stopped in on our way to Marie Curtis Park. Rosie :)

Friends of ours have this canvas hanging in their home. Not only is it beautiful, but it is personalized, which makes it extra-special.

There are many design styles available of these family name canvases, which are the creation of Toronto artist Helen Billett. Helen is the founder of Meringue Inc. which offers a stunning selection of giclée prints (fine art digital prints) on fine art paper. The kids personalized prints are an inspired room decoration. Check out this hockey themed print, available in blue, red and pink. The jersey name and number are customized:
