Best Organic Restaurants in Toronto

Rawlicious Bloor West Village

We eat regularly at Fresh and Thrive Organic so I was excited to see a Rawlicious pop up nearby. Rawlicious differs from other vegan and organic eateries because it just offers raw food, which is food that has not been heated above 48 degrees centigrade (117 degrees Fahrenheit). So, all the menu items are foods in their natural state. Rawlicious is delicious. The taco wrap is great for lunch. It is a collard leaf stuffed with seasoned nut loaf, guacamole, romaine lettuce, salsa and almond nut cheese.

Thrive Organic Kitchen & Cafe

A kid-friendly organic food restaurant like Fresh in the west end? It is real, and it is called Thrive Organic. Located in Long Branch right on the Lakeshore, Thrive features a delicious menu that is 90% organic with fair-trade and local organic ingredients.

The house burger is a grain and nut patty on a sprouted bun with chipotle sauce, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and tomatoes:

The BUDDHA bowl features baby spinach, micro-greens, carrots, onions, mango, cilantro, peanuts, black sesame seeds with a tahini/camu dressing:

The Longevity salad is filled with spinach, avocado, goji berries, red onion, goat cheese, sprout mix, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, with an acai/maca dressing:

Like the Fresh chain of restaurants (which I love) Thrive has an amazing selection of fresh juices and superfood booster smoothies, as well as organic beer and wine:

Unlike Fresh, Thrive has a section on the menu for children with kiddie rice bowls, wraps and burritos. The atmophere is comfortable, casual and there is live music on Tuesday nights. Rosie :)
