The Captain's Boil | Etobicoke

Who needs plates? At The Captain's Boil, your lobster, or shrimp, or crab, or whatever sea creature you decide to feast on, comes to your paper-covered table in a steaming hot bag filled with butter, sauces and spices. You open it up and EAT. It's juicy, delicious, messy, and so much fun.

The Captain's Boil is a popular franchise inspired by the Cajun seafood boil. Seafood is freshly caught, boiled up, and served immediately to maximize freshness and tenderness. Oysters to start are a great choice... and no utensils. Joy for seafood lovers and a welcome addition to the west end of the city! Rosie :)

New Toronto Fish & Chips | Etobicoke

Lots of new eateries have popped up on the Lakeshore in the Mimico/New Toronto/Long Branch area of south Etobicoke, and if you live in this area you know how welcome it is to have a more varied and interesting selection of places to eat. Some of have come and gone (the MELT franchise didn't work out and I never made it to Goodlake) but a few have truly stood the test of time- like DECADES of time- such as New Toronto Fish & Chips. Located just north of the Lakeshore on Fifth Street, this little shop has been cranking out battered seafod faves since the early seventies. It's a great standby for old school golden and crackling fish 'n chips. Halibut, haddock, scallops, shrimp... they'll drop 'em all in hot oil here and it's all delicious. Closed Sundays. Rosie :)
