Not washing my dry denim Nudies (found at Holt Renfrew Last Call on sale for $100) for six months. This started a few weeks ago. So far so good. If you spill, spot clean only.

You are meant to wear them every day. This appeals to my frugal girl sensibilities, as this makes for a very low cost per wear. It also appeals to my loathing of doing laundry. Rosie :)

That's very brave of you with a little boy in the house! I predict 2 weeks. LOL
Love the Nudie website! I love a well-worn pair of jeans so I might just check a pair out!
Love the boots too!
LOL Lynne my mom thinks I'm nuts... she's like, good luck with that! Stephanie thank you, I've had my jellybean boots forever... I love when it rains just so I can wear them :)
Rosie, I'm so excited about this! I love jeans (I can never have too many), but I'm a bit sceptical about the raw denim hype. I can see that the "rawness" would give it character as you wear and distress the jeans on your own, but I don't buy the "lasts longer" claim. In my opinion, there are jeans out there that can last just as long, especially when you give them the Nudie treatment (i.e., wash after 6 months or dab and hang out to dry to remove stains). I don't think it needs to be raw necessarily; it just depends on the quality. My original pair of Sevens were amazing and I had them for years, and so were my $100 Paper Denim pair. So I'm certain you can find long-lasting jeans without having to spend over $200.
Having said that, paying $200 for the style and the trend is understandable (although ridiculous), but for durability? I don't see it. Great marketing by these companies though!
Your should try this on a prewashed (not raw) pair. Please do this experiment next! Actually, never mind. Mike's already done it for me. :)
By the way, great deal! I love jeans and deals.
Monica OMG the Holt Renfrew Last Call at Vaughan Mills had some amazing deals- it is like Winners without the crap. I like designer jeans but hate to spend the $ and hate to dig so this was perfect, there were racks of denim you would go crazy! I saw a pair of Paper Denim which I have wanted because I hear they are awesome but was on the raw mission LOL! The marketing totally worked on me ;)
I need to make a trip to Last Call! I'll share my findings with you.
I find Winners @ Cloverdale is also better for designer jeans than other locations.
What! Really! I am there quite often. I rarely go to the Winners because the line at the cash scares me off. This is exciting. Next time!
I've never been up to the Last Call at Vaughan Mills.. It sounds like I should go too.. I don't have the patience for Winners ...
Look at all the spam that's not here anymore!
Stephanie I was surprised, it was better than I expected. I don't know if the stock ebbs and flows but I went Boxing Week and it was pretty good. The next time I need a party dress I'm going back, they had Marc Jacobs ones that were beautiful.
Thanks Toronto Mike for fixing the Scoop's spam :)
